PUBLISHER INFORMATION

How an entry earns its place

A useful contact record explains whose channel it is, which request it covers and where the information came from.

01

Evidence first

Company-published websites are the principal sources. Where another documented source is used, the record identifies it. A number is not treated as suitable merely because it appears near a brand name in a search result.

02

Purpose before prominence

We distinguish general enquiries from reservations, product departments, billing providers and regional offices. A related partner’s contact stays labeled as that partner’s route. A department-specific number is not described as handling every request.

03

Dates are part of the record

The displayed date records a source review. It does not certify that a call was placed, that a person answered or that a customer received a result. Hours and phone availability can change between checks.

04

A documented online route is useful too

When a suitable public telephone is not supported by the evidence, the entry presents a company website or online contact page. We leave that limitation visible rather than fill the space with an unrelated number.

05

Corrections need a trail

A correction should name the company, identify the disputed detail and provide a current source where possible. The publisher reviews the destination, region and stated purpose before altering the listing. No queue estimates or popularity labels are invented.
